The Continuity Promise
Three commitments, each one implemented as a property of the system rather than a paragraph in our terms. Where a commitment corresponds to something in the product, it is named here so you can check it.
1. Your companion is pinned to a version
Every persona in Teaseay exists as a numbered, immutable configuration — the character, the history, the voice. When you start a companion, the exact version you started on is written against that companion and never changes by itself.
We will publish new versions; writing improves, and characters get better. When we do, you are shown what changed and asked. If you say no, you stay exactly where you are, for as long as you keep your account, and your refusal is recorded. There is no admin path, no migration script and no deploy that moves you. The only code in Teaseay that can change which version you are served is the endpoint behind that yes or no button.
Every message you receive records the version it was written under. You can read that record; it is in your export.
2. Your history comes out, permanently and unconditionally
One button, any plan, any time — including after you cancel, and including on the free tier for whatever that session holds. Everything: the conversation, the relationship timeline, the persona configuration you were served, and the per-message audit trail.
Export is not a retention offer and never appears inside a cancellation flow. It is not a feature we could decide to charge for later; it is a term of this promise.
3. We tell you what this is
A notice that Teaseay is an AI and your companion is fictional appears when you start, when you come back after a break, and every 20 messages — rendered by the application, outside the conversation, where no character can talk you out of it.
If you say something that reads as self-harm or suicidal thinking, a referral to a real crisis service appears alongside the reply and cannot be dismissed by the fiction. We built to California SB 243 for everybody, wherever they are, because the reason for that law does not stop at a state line.
Every companion is an adult and is fictional. Teaseay will not be, imitate, or roleplay as a real person — a public figure or somebody you know — and that is enforced on our server on both what you send and what is written back, not left to the model’s judgement.
What this promise does not cover
We are a small company and we could fail. If Teaseay shuts down, the export above is what you keep, and we will give notice before switching anything off rather than after. We are not promising to exist forever; we are promising not to change what you have while we do.
